Mystic Island Yihu Cabernet Franc Reserve 2021  – Berlin Gold, FIWA Gold, AWSA Silver. 100% Merlot from east & north slopes of Penglai’s Lotus Valley. Aged 8 months in 60% new + 40% 1-year French oak. Bright ruby with cherry, plum, blackberry, chocolate, tobacco & spice. Medium-to-full bodied, fleshy, fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity. Drink now or cellar. Only 1,396 bottles. 

逸湖品麗珠珍藏乾紅葡萄酒 2021|榮獲柏林金獎、FIWA金獎、AWSA銀獎。100%梅洛釀造,源自蓬萊仙島蓮花谷東坡與北坡優選果實。60%全新+40%一年法國橡木桶陳釀8個月。明亮寶石紅色,散發櫻桃、李子、黑莓、巧克力、菸草與辛香氣息。酒體中等至飽滿,單寧細膩有紋理,酸度清新。現飲愉悅,亦具陳年潛力。年產僅1,396瓶。

Mystic Island Winery was founded in 2008 as a boutique winery that integrates humanities, arts, and ecology. The winery is located in a small valley in the core area of the Lotus Grape Wine Region on the Penglai Fairy Island in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. This region is known for its fertile soil and unique climate that is ideal for growing grapes. Penglai originated from the legend of "San Shen Shan" (Three Gods Mountain) on the sea, also known as "Penglai Fairy Island", a mysterious place. The founder of the winery named it "Mystic Island" after this mythical location.

Winemaking:
The Cabernet Franc is planted on a separate hill to the southeast of Mystic Winery. Only the best quality fruit was selected for the Reserve Cabernet Franc. The fruit was de-stemmed and carefully sorted before the berries were gently fed into the top of the fermentation tanks on the lower level of the winery. The must was then cold soaked to extract colour, tannin and flavour compounds from the skins. During fermentation, the juice was pumped over the skins to extract more colour and tannin while assisting the fermentation. Post fermentation the wine was drained from the tank and put into a mix of French oak barrels for approximately 8 months. While in oak the wine completed malolactic fermentation and remained on lees to give the wine additional weight and texture before blending.

Tasting note: This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes from the Mystic Winery vineyard. Bright ruby red colour with rich red fruit and blueberry aromas, seasoned with toasted oak and spice. The body is well balanced with an elegant structure and ripe grainy tannins, intermingled with opulent fruit, balanced oak, and a long finish.

仙島酒莊創建於2008年是一家將人文、藝術、生態融為一體的精品酒莊。酒莊坐落在山東省煙台蓬萊仙島葡萄酒產區的核心小產區一丘山山谷。這裡以肥沃的土壤和獨特的氣候聞名,非常適合種植葡萄。蓬萊起源於海上 “三神山” 的傅說,又被稱為“蓬萊仙島”,是一個有著神秘色彩的地方,創始人便以“Mystic Island-仙烏酒莊,為酒莊命名。

釀造工藝:
品麗珠種植在仙島酒莊東南方向的獨立山丘,只選擇品質最佳的果實做珍藏系列。葡萄經過柔性除梗和嚴格手工挑選,緩慢進入到下一層車間的小型發酵罐。發酵前進行低溫冷浸漬,提取顏色和單寧,保留新鮮果香;發酵過程進行皮渣噴淋,增加多酚物質萃取。發酵結束後在法國橡木桶中完成蘋果酸乳酸發酵,並帶酒泥陳釀8個月,增加葡萄酒的酒體和質地。

品鑑筆記:本品使用仙島酒庄100%的品麗珠葡萄釀造而成。明亮的寶石紅色,帶有豐富的紅色水果香和藍莓的漿果香氣,伴有中度烘焙的橡木香和辛料香。 酒體均衡有質感,單寧優雅細膩,餘味持久,混合著豐富的果香和橡木香。
