Since 1878 the Oddero family has been synonymous with tradition and high quality Nebbiolo wines from the Langhe's top vineyards, and it was in 1951 when brothers Giacomo and Luigi Oddero began bottling their family's wines. Located in Santa Maria, a frazione of La Morra, in the heart of the Barolo zone, this distinguished family firm under the direction of Mariacristina and Mariavittoria Oddero has quietly become one of the most consistent and most highly regarded of all Barolo houses. The quality level is routinely excellent and has been steadily improving for the past decade.
Grape variety: 75% Chardonnay, 25% Viognier
Tasting Note: Bright straw-yellow colored, more or less intense. Delicate aromas of tropical fruit, citrus fruit, aromatic herbs and wild flowers. Full, well-balanced, savoury and very persistent on the palate. A wine of great structure and balance.
Ageing potential: To be enjoyed within 3 to 6 years, according to the vintage. Serving temperature and food pairing: Best served chilled at 8 -10 ° C in a tall-stem wine glass. It makes an excellent pre-dinner drink and pairs well with appetizers, not too saucy first-course dishes, fish and shellfish, and poultry.
