This is a mix of vintages 2013 and 2015, PX sherry matured and finished. Described as follows by the Kilchoman team:
“A vatting of 33 casks, 9 fully matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and 24 finished in PX casks for between 12 and 18 months.”
This release is limited to 12,000 bottles.
Nose: Raw meat marinated in a rich, sweet, barbecue sauce sat right next to smokin' hot wood fired grill. Deep and satisfying notes of sweet sherry and juicy, boozy raisins. With time both leather and hints of citrus.
Taste: Full bodied and fun. Lots of chocolate notes here. Dark chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream. Smoky, earthy cinnamon and dark sherry notes. A little dirty.
Finish: Medium long finish. Dryer now, with even more chocolate notes. Smoky chocolate and vanilla milkshake!
