Kilchoman Cognac Cask Matured Single Malt Whisky 2023

Kilchoman Distillery was established in 2005 by Anthony Wills, Kilchoman is Islay's sole farm distillery, crafting independent Single Farm Single Malt Whisky traditionally. It stands out as one of Scotland's few independent distilleries, embodying Islay's terroir in every bottle.

The first Cognac Cask Matured release, where heavily peated spirit aged for a minimum of six years in 300-liter Cognac casks sourced from Tonellerie Bossuet in France. This limited 2023 edition beautifully balances the herbaceous sweetness of the Cognac casks with the distillery's signature citrus-led spirit, allowing subtle maritime peat smoke to shine through.

Nose: Rich apple and pear notes intertwined with honey, orange peel, baking spices, and smoky peat.
Taste: Creamy buttery texture with hints of lemon, apricot, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oak, and peat smoke.
Finish: Lingering finish with dried fruits, spices, and almond nuances.
