Kanosuke Distillery is a relatively young Japanese whisky producer, founded in 2015 on the southern tip of Kyushu Island. The Kanosuke 2023 Limited Edition is Kanosuke Distillery's fifth release, showcasing their expertise in crafting Japanese Single Malt Whisky. This edition features peated malt spirits distilled between 2018 and 2019, matured primarily in bourbon casks with a blend of other oak barrels. Bottled at cask strength, it offers a harmonious balance of gentle sweetness and lingering smoky notes. While Kanosuke Distillery is known for non-peated whiskies, this release adds complexity to their portfolio. The whisky entices with a smoky aroma that evolves into an elegant and sweet flavor.
