Just covered with a gold foil, Argonne provides shelter for the fusional relationship, between the vine and the forest, of these two great historical terroirs in which the Champagne and its aura were built in the 18th centur y. This cuvée relates the symbiosis between the Aÿ wine and the Argonne forest of which big oaks have been used to age all the Champagne wines until the middle of the 20th centur y. Today, Sébastien Le Golvet is cer tainly the only cellar master who controls this living relationship between the delicate wine and the new oak cask.
Only very great vintages can preside over the prolific union of the beauty and the beast. This is how exceptional works, completely singular and unique in Champagne are created.
"Beautiful interplay of vivacity and silkiness. Vibrant and phenolic, yet also supple with long, caressing layers of crushed almond, brown butter, apricot, praline, white chocolate and hints of sage. Really opens up. Fantastic integration. 100% new barrels from selected parcels of the Argonne forest. Drink or hold." James Suckling 98
