Italian winemaker Marco Censi is the head oenologist behind Famiglia Cielo 1908, and as part of the collective "Extraordinary Italian Wines," he extends his expertise across a range of outstanding brands spanning from the northern region of Veneto to the southern landscapes of Apulia.
Marco's winemaking philosophy revolves around skillfully uniting renowned international grape varieties with local ones, a meticulous approach aimed at preserving the rich biodiversity inherent in Italian viticulture. Viewing winemaking as an art form that draws inspiration from diverse territories, Marco is dedicated to crafting wines that are truly distinctive, but within his own unique style.
One of his notable creations is Gran Passaia, where Marco introduces a Super Tuscan blend featuring Merlot and Sangiovese. This exceptional wine undergoes a partial drying process, reminiscent of the technique used in the production of Amarone. This innovative approach adds depth and complexity to the final product, reflecting Marco's commitment to pushing boundaries and creating wines that capture the essence of Italy's diverse terroirs.

Flavours on the palate are in line with the nose, complemented with some baking spices. Partially produced from overripe grapes that are processed using the appassimento method. Sangiovese, Merlot.
