Georges Laval Garennes Extra Brut NV

Georges Laval is a very small Champagne house with only 2.5 hectares, and they produce just around 15,000 bottles per year. Based in Cumières in Vallée de la Marne, they are one of the oldest winemaking families (since 1694) in Champagne. Georges Laval has farmed his vineyards organically since 1971, and he makes the wine in a natural and artisanal way. He farms and works in this way in order to preserve the original aromas and flavours of the great terroir of Champagne.

The NV Extra-Brut Garennes is rich, ample and inviting, with all of the textural intensity that is the signature of Vincent Laval’s wines. Readers should expect a rich, boisterous Champagne laced with generous Meunier intensity. Dried pear, hazelnut and crushed flowers are some of the many notes that develop with a bit of air.

Pinot Meunier全數來自Chambrecy村的當年份收成。另外混合Cumières村過去5~6個年份的黑皮諾與夏多內的儲備基酒，使用小橡木桶進行基酒的培養，基酒進行8個月的桶陳培養。二次瓶中發酵培養18個月。年產約 4,400瓶。
酒莊以Garennes為名的香檳可視為酒莊的特殊酒款。雖然同樣具有高度的風土傳遞性，但有別於其他單一村或單一葡萄園與單一年分的酒款，Vincent透過與儲備基酒進行調配，充分展現出酒莊的風格。
由於添糖量極低，酒莊特有卓越的透明感更加明顯。散發柑橘類水果與白花的香氣，充滿活力，尾韻的延伸感更是精彩，品嘗得到香檳特有的細緻優雅，輕盈的空氣感，不禁令人重新思考Pinot Meunier的無限可能。可以搭配精緻的海鮮菜餚。
