The second wine of Pédesclaux is like a flower that blooms as soon as you approach it. Because it relies more on Merlot, the wine offers a tender and soft style, with a generous and silky texture.
The rain followed by drought made us fear the worst, but the terroir of Château Pédesclaux, the specific care given to the vineyard, and providential turnarounds, make 2016 the most anticipated vintage since Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzetti's acquisition of the property in 2009. The quality of the harvest was such that, for the first time, the four emblematic grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, are present in the final blend of Château Pédesclaux.
