Château Lascombes is a winery in the Margaux appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of the Second Growths in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. In addition to its premier cuvee, a second wine is also produced, under the name Chevalier de Lascombes.
Nose: The nose is open. Red berry and black fruits share centre-stage. The oak, though present, melts into the background and enhances the fruit aromatics.
Palate: The entry on the palate is clean, and there is good concentration. The mild-palate has volume, and the tannins are smooth. The whole bursts with fruit flavor right up till the finish, which is very long and spicy.
