Château Miraval was bought by Bradd Pitt & Angelina Jolie in 2012 who were married in the château's chapel in August 2014. The first Pitt & Jolie vintage is 2013. The first 6,000 bottles (vintage 2013) was sold out within five hours. Wine Spectator ranked vintage 2012 at no. 84 in Best 100 Wines in the world, making it the only rose to be included.

Winemaker’s note

"The Miraval Rose has an attractive, soft blush color and is beautifully bright. On the nose, there are delicate notes of raspberries, peaches and white flowers.The expression of the soil is revealed on the palate by its impressive freshness bringing minerality and salinity, a signature of 2014. Great balance, good length and character.”

TASTING NOTES

Elegant pale-pink colour, evoking a rose petal. On the nose, Miraval Rosé shows all its elegance: beautifully fresh, it exudes aromas of fresh fruit, currants and fresh rose with a zest of lemon. The refinement continues in the mouth with a beautiful liveliness and gourmet notes that subtly balance the mineral and saline notes. An irresistible wine that ends with a long finish with lemony notes.

Cinsault Grenache Rolle Syrah

AGEING

The grapes are harvested exclusively in the morning and sorted twice.
Destemming.
Pressurage direct for Cinsault, Grenache and Rolle. The Syrah is vinifies partially using the "saignee" method.
Vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats (95%) and in barrels (5%) with batonnage.
