Ideally situated on the Pomerol plateau, Château Le Gay used to be owned by the Robin sisters. The Parent family took over the château and its 10,5 hectares in 2002.

Since the, the vineyard and cellar have been constantly evolving. Four new hectares of high-density vines were planted, and more than half of the rest of the plateau land was also restructured. Convinced that "vinification intégrale" fermentation enhances quality, Henri Parent began renovating the Château Le Gay cellar in 2014 (despite its recent renovation in 2003) in order to control the temperature of the 250 barrels during the cold maceration process, as well aw during their fermentation process.

" Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Le Gay has a rock star nose of flamboyant Black Forest cake, crushed redcurrants and lilacs scents with underlying nuances of yeast extract, wood smoke, iron ore and dark chocolate.
