The vineyards from the the Castagnedi family extend between Soave and Valpolicella, noble territories with different characteristics and personality. These are territories where we know the terrain inside out, where the sun shines and when the shade comes so that we can rest for a while. This is our land and we love it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Valpolicella has an ancient origin and meaning. In fact Vallis-polis-cellae means “valley of many cellars”. Soils suited to the cultivation of vines, often indigenous vines and a long wine history ensure the production of DOC and DOCG wines, absolute excellence of this territory. The climate is mitigated by the breezes of Lake Garda, with compact soils of limestone skeleton. The hilly belt of the vineyards, close to the Alps, is between 250 and 350 meters above sea level.

Wine Enthusiast 90: "Pipe tobacco, exotic spice, mature black-skinned berry aromas and a balsamic note slowly emerge on this brawny red. The powerfully built palate delivers raisin, dried morello cherry, licorice, espresso and clove alongside bracing, close-grained tannins that grip the finish."
