Jules Desjourneys was founded by Fabien Duperray in 2006. The winery officially produced its first wine in 2017. Fabien, born in Lyon, France, has always had a passion for wine since his youth. He worked as a sommelier and even owned his own wine shop before getting the opportunity to join the Coche-Dury winery, where he began to learn about grape growing and winemaking. Fabien's vineyards cover approximately 7 hectares, spread across the slopes near the villages of Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, planted with high-quality grape varieties. Most of the vines in the vineyard are over 65 years old, with some even exceeding 100 years. Fabien adheres to very traditional methods of winemaking, focusing on low yields and manual labor.

Domaine Jules Desjourneys Macon-Verze comes from the emerging white wine region of Maconnais in southern Burgundy, known for its great potential. The Chardonnay from Macon-Verze has gained attention and praise in recent years. Tasting Notes:
The Mâcon-Verzé is a wine of great purity, both floral and mineral, expressing a lively energy. Pale yellow and nicely aromatic, it offers up scents of white flowers, lemons, pit fruits and wet stones. Light-bodied, fresh, softly oaked and with seamless alcohol, it delivers flavours mirroring the nose, has good mid-palate density and finishes with medium length.
