Perrin et Fils is a well-established winery located in the Southern Rhône Valley of France. The family has a rich history in winemaking, spanning five generations, and is widely respected for their commitment to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique characteristics of their terroir.
The Château Pesquié Quintessence Blanc 2019 is an appellation Ventoux eco-friendly wine from the Rhône region in France. This cuvée of great elegance is produced in limited quantities each vintage by Château Pesquié. Quintessence is a fresh, rich and complex white wine. It comes from a majority of Roussanne (80%) to which Clairette (20%) brings balance.
On the nose, delicate aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits entice the senses, while hints of exotic spices add a touch of intrigue. The palate is a harmonious blend of vibrant acidity and luscious fruit flavors. Notes of ripe peach, pear, and apricot dance on the tongue, accompanied by a subtle minerality that adds depth and complexity. At the tasting, the balance is detectable between the freshness, the tension of the wine, and a nice roundness. The aromatic intensity is expressed in white flowers, oriental spices (saffron and curry) and a beautiful minerality.
The 2019 Château Pesquié Quintessence Blanc is great with white meat and seafood.
Tasting notes:
91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A blend of 80% Roussanne (fermented and matured in demi-muids) and 20% Clairette (fermented and matured in tank), the 2019 Ventoux Quintessence Blanc comes across as a bit tight, taut and oaky—it appears to need some time to relax and allow the pineapple, pear and white peach notes to come through. It's medium-bodied and silky, with the potential to drink well for up to five years.
