For the Martell Cordon Bleu Limited Edition 2024, Maison Martell collaborated with the designer and interior decorator Vincent Darré. He is known for his flamboyant creations which draw on different styles and eras to offer a luxurious, contemporary vision of French decorative arts. When he visited Maison Martell in Cognac as inspiration forthe project, Vincent Darré felt like an explorer discovering an unknown land. He describes it as travelling through time, thanks not only to the illustrations and accounts he found in the archives, but also to the place itself, with its strange and wonderful alchemy.
The Colour : Deep, golden copper.
The Aroma : Vibrant, rich and complex, with orchard fruit – candied plum and apple – harmonising with roasted notes of mocha coffee, toasted almonds and vetiver.
The Taste : An exceptionally rounded, mellow sensation further enhanced by Borderies eaux-de-vie, which lend elegance and complexity. An impressively long finish characterised by notes of fruit and spices.
Suggested Serve : 1 rocks glass with ice dish on top; 1 pouring glass containing a serve of Martell Cordon Bleu; 1 ice bowl and tongs holding a few cubes of ice / ice block
