Xige Estate's 2023 Year of the Rabbit commemorative dry red wine is crafted from a blend of old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes sourced from Xige's own vineyards, which have been aged for over 25 years. The 2019 vintage of this wine presents a more intense and powerful profile compared to the 2018 vintage. After aging for 12 months in oak barrels, this Year of the Rabbit wine has reached an alcohol content of 14.2% ABV.
This limited edition wine for the Year of the Rabbit represents an intriguing experiment by Xige Estate. Its charming and delicate color captures attention, evoking a sense of traversing through centuries and embracing the cuteness of the Jade Rabbit from the prosperous Tang Dynasty. It carries the blessing of the peony, a symbol of beauty and grace, adding a touch of elegance to the New Year's celebration. The floral and herbal scents from the flowers and plants of Ningxia's terroir resemble the enchanting aroma of the Petit Verdot grapes in full bloom. This wine embodies both the gracefulness of a noble rabbit and the essence of the Ningxia region, where the Jade Rabbit brings good fortune and blossoms of abundant flowers.
Xige Estate was established in 2017 and is one of the most exciting emerging wine projects in China. It is a brand-new, modern winery with over 1,300 hectares of vineyards, more than 1,000 hectares of which are planted with mature vines that have been growing for 20 years. This has solidified their rapid success and made them one of the leading premium wine brands in China. Xige Estate was founded by winemaker Zhang Yanzhi, who was previously a winemaker at Changyu Pioneer Wine Company. He is joined by Christelle Chene, who was born in Burgundy and previously served as the Export Sales Director in China, dedicated to promoting Ningxia wines and Chinese wines worldwide.
Xige Estate's wines have garnered international attention. Chinese President Xi Jinping choose Xige's Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot blend when meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to China in April. Prior to that, the winery had already made a mark in the international wine scene by exporting a batch of wines worth £124,000 to the UK, breaking the record for the highest-value single batch of Ningxia wine exports. In 2019, Xige Estate became the first winery in China to be awarded the internationally recognized "BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard" certification. Currently, Xige Estate products are sold in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, as well as the regions of Hong Kong and Macau in China.

西鴿酒莊的葡萄酒在國際上引起了關注，中國國家主席習近平在會見4月訪華的法國總統馬克龍時，選擇了西鴿赤霞珠與蛇龍珠混釀的葡萄酒。在此之前，西鴿酒莊也已經在國際葡萄酒界佔據了一席之地，當時酒莊向英國出口了價值12.4萬英鎊的一批葡萄酒，打破了寧夏單批葡萄酒出口價值最高的記錄。2019年，西鴿酒莊成為中國首家獲得國際認可的「BRCGS全球食品安全標準」認證的酒莊。 目前，西鴿酒莊產品銷售英國、澳洲、加拿大等國家地區以及中國香港、澳門地區。
西鴿酒莊的2023年兔年生肖紀念款幹紅葡萄酒採用了西鴿自有葡萄園中25年以上樹齡的老藤赤霞珠和蛇龍珠混釀而成。這款酒的2019年份整體比2018年份更加濃郁而強勁。在經過12個月的橡木桶陳釀後，這款兔年生肖酒的酒精度達到14.2%vol。
這款兔年限定酒是西鴿酒莊的一次有趣嘗試，它呈現出童趣而粉嫩的顏色，讓人忍不住多看兩眼，感受穿越千年，來自盛唐時代的可愛玉兔的魅力。它融合了國色天香的牡丹的祝福，完成了對新年的祈禱。來自寧夏這片土地的花草植物，當千萬朵花同時盛放時，更像是聞到了蛇龍珠散發出的豐富迷人的「藥草」香氣。這款酒展現了一隻雍容華貴的福兔形象，同時也帶有寧夏風土氣息的小兔子，讓玉兔帶來祥瑞，繁花似錦。
