Château Latour-Martillac is a prestigious winery located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of Bordeaux, France. The second wine of Château LaTour-Martillac is presented under the label Lagrave-Martillac. Lagrave-Martillac red was created in 1986, its declination into white was in 1990. They are both made from plot selections of some young vines on the property. The care taken by the technical team and the vinification process are identical to that of the first wine.

The 2016 vintage at Château Latour-Martillac was marked by a mild and wet winter, leading to an early budbreak. Spring brought continued wet weather and cool temperatures. However, a fortunate period of lovely weather in June allowed for quick and uniform flowering, resulting in a good fruit set. Despite unpredictable weather swings, the vines maintained healthy foliage thanks to water reserves and diligent vineyard management. Harvesting commenced eight days later than usual but benefited from light September showers and a beautiful Indian summer, resulting in perfect ripeness and overall excellent quality. The 2016 vintage is considered one of the great vintages.
