Grace Vineyard, founded in 1997 by Chinese entrepreneur Judy Chan, is a renowned winery in Hebei, China. Producing world-class wines from its 300-hectare vineyards, the winery has won numerous domestic and international awards. Committed to quality and the wine culture, Grace Vineyard has established a strong reputation, contributing to the growing prominence of the Chinese wine industry.
Inspired by his first granddaughter Anastasya, our founder Mr. Chun-Keung Chan named this wine series, expressing his aspiration for his successors to continually improve upon it. Intentionally crafted as single-varietal wines, this series aims to capture the unique character of each grape grown in Grace Vineyard's different Chinese vineyards. The Aglianico grape, long revered as the "Barolo of Southern Italy", has now found new life at Grace Vineyard. Planted in 2006 in Shanxi, the 2018 vintage yielded 3,171 bottles of well-structured, complex wine with an enduring finish.
Tasting Note :
Dark red with crimson hue. Red to dark berry fruits, chocolate cake (pastry alike), light earthiness characters shows through on the nose. Full strength palate with well polished tannin texture. Persistent finish.

“An overlay of roasted sesame, dried meat and a hint of tar to the spicy and racy black cherries and black dates here. Very slightly jammy, but positive. Medium to full body with a good, spicy profile and fresh, flavorful palate. Showing typicity of Aglianico. Nice grip before the lengthy finish. 3,171 bottles made. “Grace is undoubtedly the pioneer of Aglianico in China. With its deep ruby appearance and attractive nose of lifted red and black plum fruit with the trademark violet of the variety, the 2018 Tasya's Reserve Aglianico is both true to the grape and like a plumped up Aglianico del Vulture. This is full-bodied, sporting 14.5% alcohol, but without the very coating tannins of Taurasi: expect moderate chewy tannins, some supporting acidity and an attractive core of ripe red and black plum and red and black cherry fruit with floral overtones. The use of new wood is more evident on the palate than the nose—only 20% new oak barrique here—adding some vanilla and toast. But this is predominantly a fruit-driven wine. With its moderate length and varietal precision, this is undeniably one of China’s most interesting reds that is showing well in the 2018 vintage.” - Tasted on Dec 11, 2020 by Edward Ragg

深紅色帶紫羅蘭色澤。鼻息中呈現紅色及深色漿果、巧克力蛋糕(類似糕點)以及些許泥土氣息。口感豐厚,單寧質地圓潤柔和。餘韻持久。
